The Coppice: Where do I begin? Upon entering, we were warmly welcomed by Beverly, whose enthusiasm was truly remarkable. She thoughtfully explained everything we needed to know, going above and beyond by providing helpful maps and directions to enrich our sightseeing experience in Windermere. Her exceptional customer service was truly outstanding. The rooms were very clean with everything more you would need in a room. For the price it's a steal! The breakfast was one the best I've had at any hotel stay. There is plenty on offer and the quality and presentation is top notch. The location is ideal for Windermere town, and Bowness is a short walk away; however, buses are readily available for convenient access. It is evident that the Coppice is not merely a business but a labor of love for its owners, a dedication that is clearly reflected in their exceptional customer service. Should we return, we would certainly rebook at the Coppice.

If you are looking for a quiet, family run guest house in Windermere this is the place to go. Within walking distance of tourist spots but not on top of it all. Beverly and her family made us feel so very welcome from the moment we arrived. She was very friendly and approachable and had a vast knowledge of all things Windermere. She gave us personal recommendations of places to see and eat. Could not fault anything about the place at all. The breakfast was probably the best breakfast I have had staying at a b&b / guest house. All local produce not frozen, piping hot with a great selection of fruits, yoghurt and cereals to choose from too. Thank you so much for making my wife's birthday weekend trip one to remember for all of the right reasons. We will 100% stay here again next time we visit the lakes.

Dont know where to start. We were met by the host who was extremely welcoming. She went through all the best resturants and bus routes etc. The breakfast, unbelievable everything is cooked and presented beautifully, and taste superb. The room was a very good size and had everything you'll need included even down to a complimentary sherry. One downside, the bed was very very uncomfortable. The springs were digging in us so much we had to fold the duvet over as many times as possible just to get some relief. ( sorry we didnt say anything because it's a British thing and we felt bad complaining when everything else was so so good.) Would highly recommend. Ps. There is a CIU club next door that is very friendly even if you are not affiliated. Its so nice a clean it deserves a mention.

Where does one start? The warm welcome from Beverley to the outstanding breakfast, the Coppice is our go to place when staying in the Lake District. Our second time here and just as fantastic as the last, you will not find a more friendly and genuine welcome anywhere! There is a reason we refer to Beverley as “Auntie Bev” and those who have stayed here will know why. You will also not be able to find a better breakfast served to you piping hot in the breakfast room which overlooks the lovely gardens. We simply can’t wait for our next return, Ian & Kirsty X .

Everything about this place was amazing from start to finish. The coppice was perfectly placed for what we both wanted to do and where we wanted to go. The host was absolutely brilliant, so welcoming and happy to help in any way. The room and breakfast were just perfect, and we both can't wait to come back to Windermere and stay here again. It was all so perfect, and thank you, the Copse Guest House. We will be visiting again.

We stayed in a room in the Annex, and would like to stay and try the other rooms in the future! Hosts Beverly and Neil are very friendly and professional, provided helpful information before and during the stay. The breakfast was delicious (best mushrooms I’ve had!) and offer vegan/vegetarian options. We liked that the meals are requested the night before and are prepared fresh in the morning (also reduces food waste, we hope!). I would only change to book directly with them and bot through Booking.com next time, now that we have found them :)

We are just back from 2 lovely nights at this beautiful guest house. It is spotlessly clean,breakfast was delicious. All made fresh to order. Beverly is so friendly and welcoming and has a wealth of local knowledge and information. Would definitely use again if down that way. Thank you Beverly.

The Coppice is a charming and cosy place to stay, perfectly located for exploring the Lakes. With buses, boats, and plenty of beautiful walks close by, it was ideally situated for us to explore the Lake District fully. Beverly is exceptionally welcoming and offers fantastic recommendations for local walks and dining. Our room featured a spa bath, which made the stay even more relaxing. The breakfast was fab too! We cannot recommend The Coppice highly enough.
